Green Manufacturing

American Dental Supply, Inc. has a long history of green manufacturing. By introducing products for the dental lab that were non-hazardous, biodegradable, and safe to use, we have strived to make the work environment safer.

We start with the highest quality, premium raw materials, and our products do more-with less, are often reusable, and last longer.

By offering products in bulk sizes and in concentrate, we encourage customers to "reduce" their own "footprint". Concentrated products that are diluted by the customer, save on weight and less fuel usage.

For its packing material, ADS has used clean newspapers from local printers for over twenty years.

We also have agreements with local distribution companies to pick up clean, unwanted foam peanuts and reuse them.

We have also reduced the use of non-biodegradable packaging materials as much as possible (e.g. polystyrene foam overpacks).

Our boxes are made from 30% recycled material.

We make products that repair and prevent equipment damage. Our product innovations save resources, and make more efficient use of energy.

ADS has eliminated halogenated hydrocarbons from all our formulations to reduce possible environmental impact.

We recycle and or return empty steel and plastic 55 gallon drums.

We encourage our staff to carpool to reduce fuel use, and our healthcare benefits include preventative medical visits.

ADS installed higher efficiency fluroescent lighting fixtures that use less electricity. We have replaced incandescent bulbs throughout our corporation.

By the end of this year, ADS will be producing clean solar power with a full array of solar roof panels.
